Gujarat's 10% quota law

Why is it in news?
  • Gujarat is set to become the first state to provide 10 per cent reservation in jobs and educational institutions to the economically weaker sections in the general category.
  • Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani  said the state would implement the Constitution (103 Amendment) Act, 2019 from 14 Jan.
