- Ministry of Minority Affairs on June 3 issued a circular allotting additional quota of 10,000 seats to Haj Group Organizations (HGO).

- Certain conditions have been laid in relation to allotment of additional quota of 10,000 seats whereby HGO are to charge rates of Haj committee of India(HCOI).
- Petition states the condition imposed is not practically executable and may also lead to confusion and mismanagement.
- SC has sought centers response on the issue.
