- Net infiltration is down by 43%: Net infiltration from across the border has reduced by 43% after the February 26 last air strike on a terror camp at Balakot in Pakistan.
- Policy of zero tolerance: The Central government has adopted a policy of zero tolerance towards cross-border infiltration.
- Multi-pronged approach with State governments: In tandem with the State governments, Central government had adopted a multi-pronged approach to contain infiltration that includes multi-tiered deployment along the International Border and the Line of Control (LoC), border fencing, improved intelligence and operational coordination, provision of improved weapons to security forces and pro-active action against infiltrators.
- Anti Infiltration Obstacle System (AIOS):(1) Electric fence, namely the Anti Infiltration Obstacle System (AIOS) on the LoC had proved to be a potent tool against infiltration.(2) Its electricity requirements were being catered through power grids wherever available and through generators at other places to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
