Nepal, China ink road connectivity deal
Why is it in news?
- China and Nepal has concluded agreement for all weather connectivity between Kathmandu and Tibet Autonomous Region.

- Various agreement were signed at the recent visit of Chinese President Xi Jinping to Nepal.
(1) The agreement for upgraded all weather road project includes building of tunnels in the Himalayan region.
(2) The agreement was reached between the Ministry of Finance of Nepal and the China International Development Cooperation Agency.
(3) Nepal has agreed to allow Chinese banks to open branches in Nepal and provide financial services.
(4) Nepal also signed a treaty with China on mutual legal assistance in criminal matters which will allow China to investigate cases that might target Nepal
