- Initially incentivise 10 firms – 5 local and 5 global
- India – 2nd largest mobile manufacturer in the world
- Component Manufacturing Scheme (SPECS)
- Outlay of about ₹3,300 crore
- Scheme for Promotion of Manufacturing of Components and Semiconductors (SPECS)
- Intended to reduce import of components
- Modified Electronics Manufacturing Clusters (EMC 2.0)
- Outlay of about ₹3,800 crore
- Will provide land and other infrastructure requirements for clusters
