
Prithvi-II
A successful training launch of a Short-Range Ballistic Missile, Prithvi-II was carried out on June 15, 2022 at approximately 1930 hrs from the Integrated Test Range, Chandipur, Odisha. The missile is a proven system and is capable of striking targets with a very high degree of precision.
Prithvi II is a liquid-fueled single-stage missile with a maximum warhead mounting capability of 500 kg and a range of 250 km.
The Indian Air Force was the first to employ it when it was created by DRDO.
India has three Prithvi missiles: the Prithvi I, which has a range of 150 kilometres, the Prithvi II, which has a range of 250 kilometres, and the Prithvi III, which has a range of 350 kilometres.
The Prithvi Missile is a missile developed in India by the Defence Research and Development Organization (DRDO) under the Integrated Guided Missile Development Program (IGMDP).
