To achieve development goals, Asia-Pacific countries need to spend $1.5 tn/yr: UN report

Why in news?
  • A new report by a regional arm of the United Nations says that an additional annual investment of $1.5 trillion — equivalent to a dollar per person per day — would allow countries in the Asia-Pacific region to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030
