Why is it in news?
- Om Birla BJP MP from Kota in Rajasthan, was unanimously elected Lok Sabha Speaker.
- Mr Birla was acknowledged by the Prime Minister in his efforts to bring relief to the people during Kutch earthquake and Kedarnath floods.
