- The President also spoke about major policy initiatives of the government such as
- Expansion of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi, to all landowning farm families was highlighted by the President
- Earlier, the scheme was only open to small and marginal farm families owning less than two hectares of land.
- This will lead to an increased allocation of estimated 90,000 crore from previous 72,000 crore, adding M Kovind said 12,000 crore had already been disbursed in the past three months.

(4) to create 10,000 new farmer producer organisations.
(5) A new department for fisheries development to usher in a new blue revolution.

- For higher education, the President said the government to strive for increase the number of seats in the country’s higher education by create two crore additional seats by 2024.
