Why in news?
  • The RajyaSabha passed the Special Economic Zones (Amendment) Bill, 2019.
More in news
  • The Bill which has already been passes by Lok Sabha will replace the Special Economic Zones (Amendment) Ordinance, 2019, promulgated in March.
  • The Minister for Commerce and Industry said that it was because of continuousdisruption in Parliament that the ordinance was promulgated and with these minor amendments there will be large impact on investment, jobs and growth.
