
Now courts verdict in vernacular languages
Why in news
- The Supreme Court will launch a software application which will not only translate its judgments but also will provide summaries of the apex court’s verdicts into all vernacular languages.
More in news
- The software application intended to be launched by mid-July will benefit the public and litigants across the country.
- The app, similar to Google’s text translation is the brainchild of Chief Justice of India Ranjan Gogoi.
- On the occasion of Constitution Day function last year President Kovind laud the CJI for proposing the initiative to provide certified copies of judgments, translated from English to regional languages, to litigants.
