Code of Conduct for MP’s

Why is it in news?
  • Vice-President urged political parties to have a code of conduct for their MPs in Parliament to monitor their behaviour.
  • Vice-President also suggested to include such a code in their election manifestos.
More in news
  • The code of conduct should restrict
(1) Members from entering into the Well of the House
(2) Sloganeering and disruptions
(3) Any other unruly behaviour such as tearing papers and throwing them in the House.
