- Land diverted for setting up a Missile Test Launch Facility byDefence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) will be compensated by revenue land adjacent to Krishna Wildlife Sanctuary.
- The land has been identified by National Board for Wildlifeand supports moderately dense mangrove cover.
- The area is close to confluence point of the river Krishna and the Bay of Bengal.
