- Reasons cited by HC:
(1) The freedom of consciene under Article 25 encompasses in itself a freedom to an individual to take a view that he does not belong to any religion.
(2) The freedom conferred by Article 25 of the constitution would also include right of an individual to claim that he is an ‘atheist’.
(3) There is no need in law to be issued a ceritficate to such effect.
