- The issues discussed in the meeting include
(1) invasive plants
(2) steps to be take for vulture conservation
(3) movement of radio-collared mammals such as tigers and elephants and
(4) measures to mitigate man-animal conflict
- It was decided to eradicate invasive plants such as Senna spectabilis through combined efforts.
- These invasive plants posed a major threat to the wildlife habitat in the Nilgiri Biosphere Reserve.
- For Tiger Conservation standard operating procedure of the NTCA such as
(1) joint patrolling
(2) share enforcement-related information
(3) monthly meeting of officials of the border areas of the reserves and protected areas.
(4) To mitigate human-wildlife conflict joint conservation measures with public participation are to be taken up.
