One of the founding directors of The Unique Academy, Malhar Patil leads the academy’s UPSC and MPSC programmes, faculty development and overall academic vision. His focus has been on building a teaching framework that combines conceptual rigour with up-to-date awareness of the evolving exam pattern.

He has been mentoring UPSC and MPSC CSE aspirants since 2001, specializing in Political Science and Public Administration. As a passionate teacher, he has been mentoring students in their academic as well as personal journeys, and thus, has helped hundreds of students in getting through civil services examination.
As a Researcher, Editor, and Author, he has contributed to major academic projects including the National Election Studies and Governance in South Asia.
He has written and edited several publications useful for competitive examinations, such as The IAS Planner, MPSC Planner, and Maharashtra Year Book. He makes it a point to write in Marathi, so as to help Marathi medium students to have access to quality resource material. He is also the co-author of Bharatiya Rajyaghatana Va Ghatanatmak Prakriya. Amongst his most popular books are the 3 Volumes on Political Science in a Question-Answer format, both in English and Marathi. He regularly writes on contemporary socio-political issues and competitive examinations.
