- NASA recently released images of Vikram’s lander’s targeted landing site captured by its Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter.

- Vikram’s precise location eluded the sharp camera of the Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) when it last flew over the probable site on September 17.
- As it was time of sunset on the lunar surface, there were lots of shadows and the LRO could not capture the Vikram Lander
- NASA issued a statement saying that lighting conditions will be favourable when the LRO passes again over the landing site again in October. Then we can get a better picture of the site.
