300 Army personnel move SC against prosecution

Over 300 Army officers on Tuesday moved the Supreme Court against what they called “persecution” by the court and civilian agencies, like the CBI, for doing their duty in the insurgency-hit areas of Jammu and Kashmir and the northeastern States.

‘Made in India’ tank engines handed over to the Army

Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Saturday, handed over two fully indigenous battle tank engines, V-46-6 and V92S2, that power the T-72 Ajeya tank and the T-90 Bhishma tank, produced by the Engine Factory Avadi (EFA), a unit of Ordnance Factory Board, to the Vice Chief of Army Staff.

Terror outfits are using children-

Minister of State for Home Affairs Kiren Rijiju told Parliament on Wednesday that Maoist groups and terror outfits such as the Jaish-e-Mohammad and the Hizbul Mujahideen were “using children.” However, there were no reports that children were used as human bombs.
